Trying to reconcile the many different viewpoints that have sat in his passenger seat  Pepo private driver guide quizzes me about USA politics .Turns out Pepo listens USA radio stations and reads New York Times. He may be better informed about american politics than some of his American clients, without sharing his own or passing judgement. You are very wise I say

Dear Pepo: I finished reading "The Bridge On The Drina" by Ivo Andric on the plane back to America. It was a beautifully written book even in translation. I can only imagine how poetic it would be in Croatian. Thank you so much for the referral. The stories strung together by the thread of the Bridge were both unique and universal. The everyday joys and fears that we all feel were played out in the characters daily, yet extraordinary lives, with the inevitable realization that no matter how comfortable or depressed, confident or anxious, on top of things or not, we may be, circumstances will change and we must adapt. Life's turns, whether sharp or gradual, will occur and must be faced, and even then, we must know, as with the Bridge, that destruction is inevitable, and it is what comes after that is the ultimate mystery. Victoria and I enjoyed the time we spent together and look forward to seeing you again in Croatia, America or wherever our paths may cross. The stories, history lessons, and other information and feelings that you imparted will remain with us forever and we thank you for them. All the best to you and your family, Roger Murphy -

I thoroughly enjoyed the history, the scenery and the time I spent with Pepo on the tour to Bay of Kotor . He provided a broad insight into the everyday lives of those who call this area of Europe home, he pointed out interesting sights along the drive that appealed to my love of history and provided suggestions for a future return trip to the area. I appreciated his easy-going style and found it incredibly easy to talk with him about the area’s history and culture. By the end of the day, I felt as if I had made a Croatian friend.

I learned of Pepo from the Rick Steves “Croatia and Slovenia” guidebook and would highly recommend his services while on holiday in the Dubrovnik area. I would book him again). In addition to the day trip to Mostar, I booked him for roundtrip airport transfers and would do so again. The more I travel, the more I come to the realization that hiring a local, private guide is much more rewarding than taking a large package/group tour, or a bus tour with commentary in 15 languages or trying to figure out everything on my own!

! I'll second what's already been said here -- Pepo Klaic was a fantastic guide! Like the poster above, I also learned about him through the Rick Steves guidebook and he definitely lived up to Rick's review. We booked Pepo for 3 daytrips: (1) Montenegro Mostar and wine tour day.. The scenery was gorgeous and the boat trip to the two islands in the Kotor Bay was especially memorable.
