- the destination -Dubrovnik Dubrovnik   is a Croatian city on the Adriatic Sea coast positioned at the terminal end of the Isthmus of Dubrovnik. It is one of the most prominent tourist destinations on the Adriatic, a seaport and the centre of Dubrovnik-Neretva county. Its population was 43,770 in 2001,[1] down from 49,728 in 1991.[2] In 1979, the city of Dubrovnik joined the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.
The prosperity of the city of Dubrovnik has always been based on maritime trade. In the Middle Ages, as the Republic of Ragusa, also known as a Maritime Republic (together with Amalfi, Pisa, Genoa, Venice and other Italian cities), it became the only eastern Adriatic city-state to rival Venice. Supported by its wealth and skilled diplomacy, the city achieved a remarkable level of development, particularly during the 15th and 16th centuries.

Pepo Klaic welcomes You to DUBROVNIK GUIDE SERVICE AND PRIVATE TOURS It's your trip, and this is your tour! There are many benefits to having your own personal tour guide: 1. GET THE VIP TREATMENT! This is your private tour with personal attention (for no more than two sets of customers at a time) where you can freely talk with the guide and ask any questions and get exclusive access to select Art Dubrovnik buildings 3. Are design or architecture your cup of tea? Or do you enjoy a good thriller full of mafia/criminal (true) stories? Or do you sport a capital "HB" for history buff? C&C can laser in on your preference but be sure to let them know before the tour. If you enjoy all three, ask for the "garden variety"! 4. Be in all the photos! No matter the size of your group, C&C are ready to act as photographer so everyone is in the picture! 5. A popular benefit is the "tour after the tour". Christine will email you the highlights of the tour so you don't forget those fascinating details. Even better if you keep a travel journal or blog, you'll have plenty to write about! No other tour company offers this feature! 6. Book a tour and your guide will go beyond and answer any questions about restaurants, other activities and so much more. You have your own local contact--just like having a personal friend or family member to ask for suggestions, ideas and opinions. 7. Price is important, for just a few dollars more than a group tour, get the personal attention, the exclusive access, the VIP treatment! 8. Last but not least, your visit raises awareness of a local effort to help homless, voiceless animals. By the end of the tour, you'll enjoy the full flavor DUBROVNIK IS A DEED OF LOVE MADE MANIFEST IN THIS ANCIENT PLACE WHICH WAS LIFE-SUPPORTING FROM THE MOMENT IT WAS CREATED.DUBROVNIK STANDS BEFORE US LIKE STONE MIRACLE A PUZZLE COMPOSED OF CAREFULLY CRAFTED BLOCKS CREATED AS A GIFT AND HOMAGE TO LIFE A SAMPLE CATALOGUE OF BEAUTIFUL ITEMS FOR DURABLE USE BY EVERY EAGER SPIRIT. DUBROVNIK TOUR GUIDE -Dubrovnik in one day Make sure to begin your brief visit to Dubrovnik with a promenade in Stradun or Placa,... the main street, while getting the first impressions of one of the Mediterraneans most beautiful cities. The astonishing city of stone is surrounded with 1,940 m long stone walls. A tour of the worlds second most frequented open-air museum will definitely take your breath away. The fantastic views will inspire you to take some photographs, and the sights that you will capture will continue to amaze you over and over again. Visit the museums of Dubrovnik and find out where the rector of the glorious Dubrovnik Republic used to live, where grain was stored, which sailing ships formed parts of the powerful Dubrovnik Republic fleet travelling around the world, making Dubrovnik famous. Taste some of the delicious Mediterranean specialities at the taverns and restaurants of the Old City and complete the treat with a cup of coffee in Stradun. Buy some of the typical Dubrovnik souvenirs (delicacies, traditional filigree jewellery, a bronze statuette of St Blaise, Konavle embroidery…) to always remind you of the day when you began to discover Dubrovnik and inevitably fell in love with it forever, wishing to come back…Stradun is a Spectacle StarBefore i begin with my tour, I always like to have a conversation with my guests to find out their likes, preferences and wants upon which i tailor my tour. Generally it is 3 hour tour where we cover all major sights and monuments in the Old City. Since I was actuall born and raised inside the Old City i can tell you all of the interesting stories from the past but also from the present which i know firsthand which will all help you to understand the big picture what is Dubrovnik all about. We will visit Great Onofrio fountain (Dubrovnik had running water before London or Paris), Franciscan Church and Monastery (with Europe's oldest pharmacy still working untill the present day), we will stroll the main baroque street of Stradun, you will hear all about terrible earthquake that almost obliterated the whole city, and than we will take our tour a little bit off the beaten path to show you some of Dubrovnik's still well kept secrets. We will pass the green market where you can taste local produce and home made grappa brandy, visit Sponza Palace, pass next to Rector's Palace and enter the city's Cathedral...The Tour ends in the Old City port with breathtaking view of the whole city as well as islands of Lokrum (cursed island), Mrkan, Bobara. It is no problem to stay longer on a tour if guests have any additional interests or comments - free of charge, of course.Elizabeth Edwards Vignette Holidays Camarillo California .
